Mazinho Meira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilvan Tasso in the 3rd minute. Aboboras SC's Amílton Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Mesquita in the 5th minute of play. If Gilvan Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílton Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edson Urbano during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norberto Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mazinho Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norberto Dantas in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mazinho Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norberto Dantas struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mazinho Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aboboras SC. A hard shot 21 in the game by Gilvan Tasso from a close distance when the talented Mazinho Meira managed to make a qualified save. Itaborahy's players were relieved. In the 23rd minute Gilvan Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durval Paulista in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amílton Catarinense saved Aboboras SC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Itaborahy's Durval Paulista got a free kick in the 37th minute. Mazinho Meira made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Gilvan Tasso sent off a good shot on target. When Norberto Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Aboboras SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Dantas couldn't finish the play. Durval Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Catarinense having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Henrique Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Henrique Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Sandro Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itaborahy's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílton Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Durval Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Catarinense having to interfere. In the 70th minute of the match, Enrique Mesquita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amílton Catarinense saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Itaborahy defense, Norberto Dantas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazinho Meira. The Itaborahy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazinho Meira should have stopped the shot. Mazinho Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amílton Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Mesquita in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Guto Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itaborahy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aboboras SC the free kick. Guto Torres hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When Norberto Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Aboboras SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Dantas couldn't finish the play. Enrique Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Catarinense having to interfere. Durval Paulista scored 1-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amílton Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Itaborahy players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Aboboras SC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
