Vitinho Lira started the match with the kick off. Carlos Fernando Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Lira in the 7th minute of the match. Simão Pimenta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clóvis Gaúcho hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Vitinho Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute of the match Nilmar Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Fernando Paraense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Iaunari's goal looked a bit too open when Vitinho Lira came free, but Carlos Fernando Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Fernando Paraense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilberto Messias went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Gilberto Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Fernando Paraense. Iaunari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho Lira in the 33rd minute of play forced Iaunari's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Veneza's Simão Pimenta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Veneza from getting a goal against them.

53 minutes in the game, Vitinho Lira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Carlos Fernando Paraense having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Iaunari's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Paraense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Messias. 65 minutes into the match, Iaunari's Nando Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simão Pimenta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nando Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Veneza's zone, Téo Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Pimenta came out of the goal and Téo Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Téo Dias struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Simão Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iaunari. Téo Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Gilberto Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Carlos Fernando Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Paraense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Messias in the 88th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Veneza had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
