After 6 played minutes Paraim got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Proença. 8 minutes into the match, Paraim's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Leme came free, but Eliézer dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarcisio Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. José Maria Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tarcisio Ramos during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Leme in the 17th minute of play forced Paraim's goalkeeper Eliézer dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Albertinho Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Tarcisio Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th match minute, Paraim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Eduardo Proença to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Albertinho Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Pedro Schmidt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but José Maria Linhares made a huge save. Emerson Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Thiago Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albertinho Leme was the one to do the kick off. José Maria Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Schmidt in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Bontim SS booed when Paraim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Eduardo Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 minutes, Albertinho Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bontim SS and the Paraim players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Paraim:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bontim SS:s goal. The goalkeeper, Eliézer dos Santos, was totally fooled by Bontim SS's Luís Guilherme de Sena, who 64 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Eliézer dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Thiago Barros sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Paraim's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Barros came free, but Eliézer dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Bontim SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
