In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aroeira AD's goalkeeper Fabrício Rezende, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aroeira AD's Fabrício Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva de Andrade in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, one of Vinhatico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vinhatico. Sidnei Recife had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Vitório de Medeiros's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 71st minute, Jeremias Moraes made a precise shot to the right of Fabrício Rezende. Aroeira AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.
