After 37 minutes, Hortêncio Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crauna and the Cazuqui AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Bruno do Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serginho Pombal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Cazuqui AD getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. José Vítor Tavares hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno do Valle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chiquinho Pontes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 54th match minute, Crauna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Pontes to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Moreno during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Crauna's Eusébio Moreno got a free kick in the 63rd minute. With a little luck, Cazuqui AD's Waldir Mandrak got control of the ball when Carlos Fernando de Queiroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bruno do Valle struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Waldir Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiago Gabriel Vianna's late challenge caught a Cazuqui AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Gabriel Vianna helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Tiago Gabriel Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldir Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Dante in the 90th minute of the match. Cazuqui AD's Zé Pedro Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cazuqui AD had won after a very even match.
