Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Belmiro Freitas started the match with the kick off. Silvério Paes came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Coqueiral's Betão Ceresso. But to his dismay, Betão Ceresso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betão Ceresso in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvério Paes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Betão Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Silvério Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Juvenal Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Goianorte SC's Silvério Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Ceresso in the 21st minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Benjamim Diniz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 25 minutes into the match, Goianorte SC's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Ceresso came free, but Silvério Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diogo Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Albertino Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. In the 33rd match minute, Goianorte SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes, Coqueiral's Laerte da Costa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silvério Paes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Coqueiral reached it. In the 34th match minute, Goianorte SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Rossi to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betão Ceresso in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvério Paes saved Goianorte SC from getting behind. Benjamim Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Pedro Augusto Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Betão Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Betão Ceresso made a kick off. Pedro Augusto Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Mendonça's late challenge caught a Goianorte SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Goianorte SC. José Pedro Alagoano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedro Augusto Prata. 1-2. After 59 minutes, Vinícius Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goianorte SC and the Coqueiral players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Goianorte SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Moura to maneuver through the defense. Silvério Paes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Pena in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Diniz in the 66th minute of play forced Coqueiral's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Betão Ceresso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Betão Ceresso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silvério Paes. Betão Ceresso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Belmiro Freitas struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Pedro Augusto Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goianorte SC. In the 85th minute, Rodrigo Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Goianorte SC's Waldemar Andrade got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 92nd minute Belmiro Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Augusto Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Goianorte SC booed when Coqueiral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Betão Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coqueiral's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Goianorte SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Coqueiral's performance. The match ended with a win for Coqueiral.
