After a rather tough play, Saossaite AD's Percy de Carvalho got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Edu Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Marcus Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arcado FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saossaite AD the free kick. After 14 played minutes Arcado FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Bezerra. Saossaite AD's Erivaldo Trancoso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arcado FC. Túlio Santana was a little too slow when Edu Torres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 20th match minute, Arcado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Arcado FC's Túlio Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Torres in the 21st minute of play. Percy de Carvalho was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 25 minutes into the match, Arcado FC's Reynaldo Toscano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 26 played minutes Saossaite AD got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Barbosa. When Renato Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Arcado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Marquez couldn't finish the play. Edu Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Santana having to interfere. After 41 minutes, Renato Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arcado FC and the Saossaite AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Saossaite AD booed when Arcado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Arcado FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Marcus Bezerra hit a great ball. Túlio Santana made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Edu Cordeiro sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renato Marquez to strike the kick off in the second half. Edu Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Santana having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Renato Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arcado FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulinho Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Fernandinho da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Arcado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho da Silveira couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Renato Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, Dorian Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes, Saossaite AD's Hélder das Neves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Túlio Santana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saossaite AD reached it. 71 minutes into the match, Saossaite AD's Edu Cordeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Túlio Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edu Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Santana having to interfere. Arcado FC's Túlio Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Cordeiro in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Marquez in the 83rd minute of play forced Saossaite AD's goalkeeper Paulinho Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Edu Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Túlio Santana was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Túlio Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Cordeiro in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Edu Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saossaite AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Edu Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Túlio Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edu Torres struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Túlio Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saossaite AD. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Saossaite AD had played much better football throughout.
