After 18 minutes, Ciro Saraiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bacaetava AD and the Mucambo SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ronaldo Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bacaetava AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Noel Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Guimarães in the 88th minute of play forced Mucambo SS's goalkeeper Chico Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chico Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Guimarães in the 90th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mucambo SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
