Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edu Cordeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Valladares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Diego Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulinho Novaes. Saossaite AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Edu Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saossaite AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Edu Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldo Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edu Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ronaldo Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Novaes having to interfere. Edu Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Valladares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Saossaite AD booed when Bacaetava AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percy de Carvalho hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Bacaetava AD's goalkeeper Ronaldo Valladares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edu Cordeiro. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Edu Torres took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ronaldo Valladares to make any attempt to save it. In the 41st match minute, Saossaite AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Edu Cordeiro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 44th playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edu Cordeiro got free with Ronaldo Valladares in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edu Torres was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Edu Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bacaetava AD's Ronaldo Valladares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Saossaite AD's Edu Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edu Torres took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldo Valladares. Ronaldo Valladares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian Carvalho during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ian Carvalho hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Saossaite AD's Erivaldo Trancoso tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Saossaite AD's Percy de Carvalho got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Saossaite AD's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Diego Guimarães 67 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. The audience was convinced that Edu Torres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldo Valladares was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Edu Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edu Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Valladares having to interfere. Edu Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Ronaldo Valladares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saossaite AD. Percy de Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Percy de Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
