With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Santos in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rony Messias saved Plataform EC from getting behind. When Custódio Guedes fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Plataform EC's protests and gave Custódio Guedes a yellow card for diving instead. Custódio Guedes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Vinícius Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Jonia's goal looked a bit too open when Ademar da Cunha came free, but Gilmar Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Jonia's goalkeeper Gilmar Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jânio Cavalcante. Christian Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vinícius Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes Jonia got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Rosa. Vinícius Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Messias having to interfere. If Jânio Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vinícius Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rony Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinícius Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Agostinho Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Jonia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agostinho Rosa couldn't finish the play. Plataform EC's Rony Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Santos in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Plataform EC's zone, Vinícius Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony Messias came out of the goal and Vinícius Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jonia's goalkeeper Gilmar Rezende, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Jonia got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro Alagoano. Rony Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ademar da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Jonia's goal looked a bit too open when Jânio Cavalcante came free, but Gilmar Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 82 in the game by Vinícius Rosa from a close distance when the talented Rony Messias managed to make a qualified save. Plataform EC's players were relieved. After having played for 84 minutes, Vinícius Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vinícius Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rony Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jânio Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Plataform EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jânio Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilmar Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Plataform EC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Jonia had controlled the match.
