The referee showed Juarês Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Aelegrete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. Pirajai were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Aelegrete's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcos Alagoano took the corner. The corner led Pirajai's Marcos Alagoano to fire away a dangerous shot which Joel Pena despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Aelegrete's goalkeeper Joel Pena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Meira. 27 minutes into the game, Dráusio Moura recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joel Pena. In the 31stth minute of the game Cacá Luz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirajai's Ezequiel Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Cacá Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aelegrete's supporters rose to their feet, but Cacá Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dráusio Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Cacá Luz took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ezequiel Teixeira to make any attempt to save it. Cacá Luz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ezequiel Teixeira came out and tried to block the shot, but Cacá Luz slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albertinho Castro during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
