The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basílio Romero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Angatuba's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Durvalino Leite who took care of the corner kick. In the 80th match minute, Angatuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Martins to maneuver through the defense. If Ademir Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gláuber Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basílio Romero's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Luiz Fabiano Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Itapiranga AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Angatuba had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
