The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Júlio Mumbach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Travassos in the 10th minute of play forced Malhado SS's goalkeeper Júlio Mumbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Itapevi's Murillo Melo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio Mumbach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Malhado SS's Júlio Mumbach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Travassos in the 15th minute of play. When Magno Brodel fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malhado SS's protests and gave Magno Brodel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Malhado SS getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Malhado SS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Américo Chaves in the 25th minute. The corner led Malhado SS's Américo Chaves to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedrão Corrêa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Gernando de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Malhado SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gernando de Amaral couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Itapevi's Marcinho Coelho got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 32nd minute Teodoro Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gernando de Amaral got free with Pedrão Corrêa in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedrão Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gernando de Amaral in the 37th minute. Murillo Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Mumbach having to interfere. Murillo Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marquinhos Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Mumbach came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Itapevi's Marquinhos Travassos. But to his dismay, Marquinhos Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Teodoro Berger made the kick off in the second half. Murillo Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Malhado SS's goalkeeper Júlio Mumbach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marquinhos Travassos. Júlio Mumbach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marquinhos Travassos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Júlio Mumbach made a huge save. When Sidney Campidelis came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Itapevi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Campidelis couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Malhado SS's goal looked a bit too open when Murillo Melo came free, but Júlio Mumbach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Marquinhos Travassos sped through Malhado SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júlio Mumbach. Marcinho Coelho's late challenge caught a Malhado SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho Coelho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, Malhado SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Mattos to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Itapevi's Júlio Mumbach threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Murillo Melo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 82 minutes into the match, Itapevi's Marquinhos Travassos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio Mumbach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 87 played minutes, Itapevi's Michel Saraiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Júlio Mumbach came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itapevi reached it. Marquinhos Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Mumbach having to interfere. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Malhado SS's goalkeeper Júlio Mumbach, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcus Azevedo's late challenge caught a Itapevi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. Marcus Azevedo hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Murillo Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Júlio Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dé Bittencourt fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malhado SS's protests and gave Dé Bittencourt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Malhado SS getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Dé Bittencourt hit a great ball. Marquinhos Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Mumbach having to interfere. Itapevi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
