The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Areal's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Maciel came free, but Ezequiel Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Guto de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Tipis SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guto de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Tipis SS's Guto de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmílson Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos de Souza in the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Tipis SS getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Elder Coelho hit a great ball. Ezequiel Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Maciel in the 26th minute of the match. Marcos de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mazinho Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Guto de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Tipis SS fans jumped to their feet. Areal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guto de Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. With a little luck, Areal's Ezequiel Castro got control of the ball when Guto de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kauã Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos de Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Areal's goal looked a bit too open when Guto de Alcântara came free, but Ezequiel Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Maranhense hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. If Marcos de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guto de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos de Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmílson Saraiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 88 played minutes, Tipis SS's Digo Marquez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ezequiel Castro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tipis SS reached it. Edmílson Saraiva made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Kauã Luz sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tipis SS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Areal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
