Eriberto Duarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Falcão Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuyabasinho SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amauri Silva in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Duarte saved Cha EC from getting behind. Cha EC's Eriberto Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amauri Silva in the 38th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Custódio Mattos during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cha EC's Custódio Mattos got a free kick in the 38th minute. Frederico da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amauri Silva to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Cha EC's Leandro Arantes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leandro Arantes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cha EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leandro Arantes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 53rd minute, one of Cha EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cha EC. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Cuyabasinho SS. Mário Recife stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eriberto Duarte. 3-1. Eriberto Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Cosme in the 60th minute of the match. Cuyabasinho SS were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Cha EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mário Recife took the corner. Cuyabasinho SS's Mário Recife was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eriberto Duarte in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Amauri Silva struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Eriberto Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuyabasinho SS. If Custódio Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Teles's late challenge caught a Cuyabasinho SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldemar Teles helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Waldemar Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amauri Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Falcão Gomes's late challenge caught a Cha EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falcão Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. Falcão Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Cuyabasinho SS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
