Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fausto Bueno started the match with the kick off. Reinaldo Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. When Arlindo Machado came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Paiano SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlindo Machado couldn't finish the play. Barrigudinha SS's Olavo Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Barrigudinha SS from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes into the match, Alberto Nunes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Paiano SC's Reinaldo Barros. Reinaldo Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 14 minutes into the match, Paiano SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Nunes came free, but Reinaldo Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Bueno in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olavo Nunes saved Barrigudinha SS from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Fausto Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paiano SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Bueno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Barrigudinha SS getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Bruno Alvarenga hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, Arlindo Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Olavo Nunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fausto Bueno struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Olavo Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paiano SC. Ulisses Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Paiano SC's Arlindo Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Nunes made a kick off. Ulisses Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Reinaldo Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Paiano SC's Amílton Castro got a free kick in the 70th minute. Alberto Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulisses Quintal struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Reinaldo Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrigudinha SS. After having played for 77 minutes, Ulisses Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrigudinha SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulisses Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barrigudinha SS's Ulisses Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olavo Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Machado in the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Arlindo Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olavo Nunes. Barrigudinha SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arlindo Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Paiano SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
