Olavo Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caco das Neves in the 5th minute of the match. Diamantino Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulisses Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Nunes got free with Diamantino Saraiva in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diamantino Saraiva made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ulisses Quintal sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Nunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diamantino Saraiva having to make a save. Délio Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Diamantino Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Vitorinos's Délio Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olavo Nunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ulisses Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitorinos's Diamantino Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Nunes in the 42nd minute of play. With a little luck, Vitorinos's Diamantino Saraiva got control of the ball when Ulisses Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Benjamim Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Hélio Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco das Neves in the 52nd minute of play forced Barrigudinha SS's goalkeeper Olavo Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrigudinha SS's Olavo Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Barrigudinha SS from getting a goal against them. After 54 minutes, Bruno Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrigudinha SS and the Vitorinos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Barrigudinha SS getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Bruno Alvarenga hit a great ball. Délio Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Olavo Nunes made a huge save. If Délio Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Nunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diamantino Saraiva having to make a save. Vítor Loureiro hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The supporters of Barrigudinha SS booed when Vitorinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulisses Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulisses Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
