Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fausto Bueno started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Luciano Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Luciano Tinoco hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Arí Tasso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinaldo Barros was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Reinaldo Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Baiano in the 12th minute of play. Arí Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Barros having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Zézinho Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catanduva AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arlindo Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arlindo Machado in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Bueno in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Baiano in the 46th minute of play forced Paiano SC's goalkeeper Reinaldo Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arí Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arí Tasso to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Paiano SC got a freekick which was hit by Geovânio Valladares. Zézinho Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Barros having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Paiano SC's goalkeeper Reinaldo Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arí Tasso. Reinaldo Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zézinho Baiano in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Zézinho Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catanduva AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Baiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reinaldo Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 63 minutes, Arlindo Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paiano SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlindo Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 minutes of play, Paiano SC's Arlindo Machado made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felipe do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arlindo Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe do Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Reinaldo Barros made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Arí Tasso sent off a good shot on target. Reinaldo Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paiano SC's Reinaldo Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Tasso in the 85th minute of play. Arlindo Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe do Vale having to interfere. A collision led to Catanduva AD getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Luciano Tinoco hit a great ball. Arlindo Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Paiano SC booed when Catanduva AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipe do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Bueno in the 95th minute of the match. Paiano SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
