Capoeiras's Zé Augusto Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas Recife made a kick off. Zé Augusto Martins succeeded in the game's 54th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Paulinho Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulinho Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani Sarmento in the 90th minute of the match. Oscar Antunes's late challenge caught a Roncadeira SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Capoeiras got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Antunes. Roncadeira SS's Lucas Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulinho Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Capoeiras supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Capoeiras would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
