Percival Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silas Mazza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Percival Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. Dé Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Silas Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauã Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Cardoso in the 12th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Ademir Meira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 17 minutes into the match, Viramao's goalkeeper Cauã Palmeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademir Meira. The supporters of Guarani SS booed when Viramao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adhemar Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Palmeira having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Adhemar Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guarani SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viramao the free kick. When Viramao's Dé Paranaense in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guarani SS's goalie prevented a goal. Dé Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guarani SS's Ademir Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Viramao's zone, Adhemar Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauã Palmeira came out of the goal and Adhemar Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Silas Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival Couto in the 52nd minute of the match. Cauã Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademir Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Guarani SS booed when Viramao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademir Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cauã Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauã Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Cardoso in the 63rd minute of play. Cauã Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Cardoso in the 66th minute of the match. If Percival Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ademir Meira came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Guarani SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademir Meira couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
