Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Válbson Queiroz made the kick off which started today's match. Walmir Paulista took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frédson Vides. Frédson Vides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Válbson Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Franca's Nilton Corrêa got a free kick in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Franca's zone, Válbson Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Valadares came out of the goal and Válbson Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Válbson Queiroz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roberto Valadares, 1-1. When Nilton Corrêa fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Franca's protests and gave Nilton Corrêa a yellow card for diving instead. Nilton Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Frédson Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Vítor Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. If Aluísio Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 36th minute of the match Vítor Borges completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vítor Borges a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 37 played minutes Ipoema FC got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Borges. 42 minutes into the game, Walmir Paulista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Frédson Vides was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walmir Paulista to make the kick off. Enrique Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauan Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Frédson Vides made a huge save. Enrique Dracena struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Roberto Valadares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipoema FC. Franca's Roberto Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Dracena in the 63rd minute of play. When Mazinho de Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ipoema FC's protests and gave Mazinho de Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. Mazinho de Queiroz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Walmir Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frédson Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Ipoema FC's goalkeeper Frédson Vides had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauan Penha. In the 71st minute Enrique Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes, Enrique Dracena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipoema FC and the Franca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Franca booed when Ipoema FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cauan Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frédson Vides read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Mazinho de Queiroz was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ipoema FC! In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Franca. Luiz Paulo Meireles stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Frédson Vides. 1-3. When Cauan Penha came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Franca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauan Penha couldn't finish the play. If Cauan Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio Linares during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute, Egídio Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franca were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Ipoema FC's much stronger midfield.
