Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durvalino Pombal started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Contiguiba booed when Iaurete SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Walmyr Viana sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Iaurete SS's Patrick Costa didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Fernandez in the 6th minute of play forced Iaurete SS's goalkeeper Patrick Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Patrick Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Belchior de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Contiguiba's supporters rose to their feet, but Belchior de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute, Durvalino Pombal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of João Adolfo Vasconcelos, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Iaurete SS getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Chiquinho Nascimento hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Durvalino Pombal in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Adolfo Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Richard Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Patrick Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iaurete SS's Carlos Alberto Macedo came free and shot a quick shot against goal 36 minutes in the game, fortunately João Adolfo Vasconcelos had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After having played for 40 minutes, Richard Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Contiguiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belchior de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Costa having to interfere. Belchior de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Patrick Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Belchior de Queiroz made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Iaurete SS's goal looked a bit too open when Belchior de Queiroz came free, but Patrick Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Alberto Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. João Adolfo Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Durvalino Pombal made a precise shot to the right of João Adolfo Vasconcelos. Contiguiba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 64 played minutes Contiguiba got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Pontes. Belchior de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Patrick Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Iaurete SS's goal looked a bit too open when Belchior de Queiroz came free, but Patrick Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Iaurete SS defense, Belchior de Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Costa. The Iaurete SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Costa should have stopped the shot. After 79 played minutes, Iaurete SS's Chiquinho Nascimento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Adolfo Vasconcelos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iaurete SS reached it. If Durvalino Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Carlos Alberto Macedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Adolfo Vasconcelos was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. João Adolfo Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durvalino Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 94 minutes into the game, Durvalino Pombal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. João Adolfo Vasconcelos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Iaurete SS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Contiguiba had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
