Rodrigo Bittencourt stood somewhat misplaced when Belchior de Queiroz came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 13 minute. The supporters of Contiguiba booed when Galheiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Bittencourt made a huge save. After 20 minutes, Luís Paulo Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galheiro and the Contiguiba players grew even worse after the yellow card.
