A hard shot by Valdo Quadros from long distance, 4 minutes into the match, got Patrick Costa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Jacinto in the 8th minute of play forced Iaurete SS's goalkeeper Patrick Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Leopoldo Jacinto collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. After 12 minutes, Chiquinho Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iaurete SS and the Galheiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 minutes, Tony Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galheiro and the Iaurete SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Tony Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto Macedo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Galheiro's Rodrigo Bittencourt. Rodrigo Bittencourt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute Carlos Alberto Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Alberto Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Durvalino Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Iaurete SS's Teodoro Tinoco got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 47 minutes into the game, Valdo Quadros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galheiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iaurete SS the free kick. In the 47th minute, one of Galheiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galheiro. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Bruninho Berger succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Tony Passos hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Armando Medeiros sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Rodrigo Bittencourt threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Armando Medeiros this time. Galheiro's Bruninho Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Tony Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Patrick Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute of the match, Durvalino Pombal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rodrigo Bittencourt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 75 minutes into the match, Iaurete SS's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho Berger came free, but Patrick Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Paulo Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A hard shot 85 in the game by Carlos Alberto Macedo from a close distance when the talented Rodrigo Bittencourt managed to make a qualified save. Galheiro's players were relieved. Iaurete SS's Patrick Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho Berger in the 89th minute of play. Dinei Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruninho Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Costa having to interfere. The Iaurete SS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
