In the 48thth minute of the game Tadeu de Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Duere's Zézinho Pinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldão Paulista to make the kick off. Duere's Zézinho Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Duere from getting a goal against them. Ronaldão Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Pedrão de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 58 minutes, Ronaldão Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Duere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldão Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Léo Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Tadeu de Alcântara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zézinho Pinho, 0-1. If Ronaldão Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jonathan Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morere's protests and gave Jonathan Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 78th match minute, Morere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Pedrão de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão Paulista in the 81st minute of the match.
