Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Antônio Ferraz kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Morere's zone, Antônio Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrão de Barros came out of the goal and Antônio Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Barreto in the 4th minute of play forced Morere's goalkeeper Pedrão de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrão de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto Barreto in the 12th minute of play. Lauro Costa struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Delfim Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morere. Antônio Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão de Barros having to interfere. In the 19th minute Antônio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, José Carlos de Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Morere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saraiva the free kick. In the 32nd minute Antônio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeu de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Delfim Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Lauro Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delfim Coutinho. Saraiva's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lauro Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Saraiva's Jarbas Albuquerque couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Morere. Zé Augusto Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Pedrão de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
The wind increased when Tadeu de Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Saraiva's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Costa came free, but Delfim Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Morere's Lauro Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delfim Coutinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ronaldo Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, Ronaldo Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lauro Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Morere's Pedrão de Barros got control of the ball when Antônio Ferraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Saraiva's Antônio Ferraz made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedrão de Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Saraiva's Zé Augusto Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Morere's Pedrão de Barros got control of the ball when Zé Augusto Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antônio Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Antônio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Morere had won after a very even match.
