Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dinei Veloso kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Senna. Dinei Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jardel Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amana SC's Dinei Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Benjamim Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cafu Urbano was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Arnaldo de Queirós. A hard shot 24 in the game by Hílton Senna from a close distance when the talented Cafu Urbano managed to make a qualified save. Amana SC's players were relieved. Cafu Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalmo Bastos in the 26th minute of play. Pedro de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro de Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Dinei Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Dinei Veloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jardel Faria was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Amana SC's Cafu Urbano got control of the ball when Hílton Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Adalmo Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adalmo Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dinei Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jardel Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 minutes of play, Cruz's Adalmo Bastos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Urbano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Amana SC's Jean Passos got a free kick in the 55th minute. Renatinho Senna was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Benjamim Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jardel Faria made a huge save. 64 minutes into the game, Cruz's Adalmo Bastos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cafu Urbano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 67th minute, Hílton Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Urbano was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Hílton Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Urbano having to interfere. Cafu Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hílton Senna in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Anísio Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Adalmo Bastos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Urbano was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Adalmo Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Cruz's Hílton Senna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cafu Urbano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hílton Senna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cafu Urbano having to make a save. After 89 minutes of play Amana SC's Anísio Antunes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Cruz booed when Amana SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adalmo Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Cruz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
