Edson Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Custódio Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Paulo José Vianna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edson Senna was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Benjamim Motta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Betinho Sena having to make a save. Betinho Sena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otávio Corrêa's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 17th minute, where Pancudo EC:s Luís Fernando Oliveira tricked Itacamba:s Edson Senna with a difficult ball by the left post. Otávio Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Betinho Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itacamba. The attack was good, but when Benjamim Motta in the 24th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 31st minute, Paulo José Vianna fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edson Senna, passed just outside the right post. 34 minutes into the match, Pancudo EC's Paulo José Vianna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edson Senna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Custódio Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Edson Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo José Vianna might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edson Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo José Vianna ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulo José Vianna in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edson Senna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Custódio Trigo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamim Motta made a kick off. Paulo José Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Senna having to interfere. Betinho Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamim Motta in the 56th minute of play. Edson Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 58th minute, Thomás Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo José Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Senna having to interfere. Carlinhos Oliveira hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Pancudo EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Carlinhos Oliveira scored to the left of an out of position Betinho Sena, making the score, 1-1. In the 70th minute Benjamim Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Itacamba's Caco Neiva broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Benjamim Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Custódio Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Edson Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pancudo EC's Paulo José Vianna in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itacamba's goalie prevented a goal. Itacamba's Edson Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Custódio Trigo in the 84th minute of play. If Benjamim Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92ndth minute of the game Benjamim Motta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pancudo EC's Betinho Sena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
