Edson Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruninho Damião struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Edson Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iandara SC. Franklin Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Iuri Vides put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edson Senna. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Bruninho Damião sped through Itacamba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edson Senna. Henrique de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 36 minutes, Caco Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itacamba and the Iandara SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Itacamba:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iandara SC:s goal. Ricardo Moura's late challenge caught a Itacamba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Moura helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Iandara SC's Ricardo Moura got a free kick in the 41st minute. Otávio Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Franklin Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamim Motta made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruninho Damião in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edson Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 55 minutes into the game, Guilherme Eger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iandara SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itacamba the free kick. The supporters of Itacamba booed when Iandara SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamim Motta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franklin Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Iandara SC's Franklin Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Corrêa in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Iandara SC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Motta came free, but Franklin Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Itacamba's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Iuri Vides fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Benjamim Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Miranda having to interfere. Vitório Barros didn't quite understand what happened when in the 83 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet.
