Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pancudo EC's Custódio Trigo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Teodoro Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giovanni Prestes hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Edmundo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Sena having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Vivaldo Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pancudo EC and the Inhobim players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pancudo EC's Vivaldo Freire got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute, Edmundo Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmundo Garcia got in the 22nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Betinho Sena handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Betinho Sena was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nilmar Loyola. When Paulo José Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Pancudo EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo José Vianna couldn't finish the play. Paulo José Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jefferson Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Sena having to interfere. Pancudo EC's Custódio Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Betinho Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Garcia in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Pancudo EC's zone, Sidney Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betinho Sena came out of the goal and Sidney Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pancudo EC's Betinho Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Garcia in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Custódio Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pancudo EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Custódio Trigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo José Vianna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Maciel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Inhobim's goalkeeper Jefferson Maciel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo José Vianna. In the 62nd match minute, Inhobim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Custódio Trigo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Jefferson Maciel 63 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Inhobim's zone, Custódio Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Maciel came out of the goal and Custódio Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, Pancudo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Garcia came free, but Betinho Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betinho Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Garcia in the 72nd minute of the match. Paulo José Vianna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Jefferson Maciel made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo José Vianna got free with Jefferson Maciel in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 played minutes Pancudo EC got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Freire. Nilmar Loyola, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sidney Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Betinho Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Pancudo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Garcia came free, but Betinho Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Paulo José Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pancudo EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo José Vianna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Reis in the 94th minute of play forced Pancudo EC's goalkeeper Betinho Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Pancudo EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
