When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Cauan Palmeira put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gonçalo Lopes. The supporters of Taperaba FC booed when Jeguy EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Gildo Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taperaba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gildo Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
