Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mauro Campidelis charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Campidelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Mauro Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luiz Paulo Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Colegio's zone, Robinho Sampaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário Paraense came out of the goal and Robinho Sampaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mário Paraense came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Penedia's Sandrinho Carvalho. But to his dismay, Sandrinho Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Teixeira in the 23rd minute of play forced Penedia's goalkeeper Márcio Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Mário Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Penedia's Robinho Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Paulo Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Márcio Sena came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Colegio's Nelson Baptista. But to his dismay, Nelson Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Nelson Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Colegio getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Mateus de Medeiros hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes Penedia got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Massa. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelson Baptista was the one to do the kick off. Márcio Sena made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Luiz Paulo Teixeira sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute Paulo Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Baptista in the 61st minute of play forced Penedia's goalkeeper Márcio Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Nelson Baptista fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Nelson Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Paulo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Márcio Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute Nelson Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Penedia getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Sandrinho Carvalho hit a great ball. Nelson Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Sena having to interfere. Chiquinho Gerber hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Penedia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Nelson Baptista scored to the left of an out of position Márcio Sena, making the score, 1-2. In the 88th minute, Agenor Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilton de Medeiros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mário Paraense. Colegio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mário Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colegio's Mário Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robinho Sampaio in the 94th minute of play. When Nelson Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Colegio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelson Baptista couldn't finish the play.
