Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Platina EC's Tomé Toledo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonardo Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Bezerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Platina EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Gualter Sena put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Gustavo Quintal. After a rather tough play, Platina EC's Leonardo Bezerra got a free kick in the 13th minute. Tomé Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Quintal having to interfere. In the 21stth minute of the game Tomé Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jacuizinho's Luiz Gustavo Quintal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gualter Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Jacuizinho's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Toledo came free, but Luiz Gustavo Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Quintal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gualter Sena's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. During the 29th minute of the match Leonardo Bezerra completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Leonardo Bezerra a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dé Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adalmo Valadares was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Dé Pena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandro Hames. Platina EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dé Pena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Jacuizinho's Afonso Rosado got a free kick in the 57th minute. Dráusio Fontes's late challenge caught a Platina EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dráusio Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. Dráusio Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Luiz Gustavo Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Couto in the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jacuizinho's zone, Gualter Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Gustavo Quintal came out of the goal and Gualter Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Platina EC's Sandro Hames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Pena in the 74th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Jacuizinho got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Valadares. After a rather tough play, Platina EC's Christiano Couto got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Dé Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute Adalmo Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Hames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dé Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Sandro Hames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualter Sena might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Gustavo Quintal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualter Sena ran back to his position shaking his head. Gualter Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Luiz Gustavo Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualter Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Luiz Gustavo Quintal made a huge save.
