The audience thought a goal was coming when Aílton de Alcântara got free with Dráusio Aguiar in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uberaba SC's Dráusio Aguiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Uberaba SC from getting a goal against them. Aílton de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Aguiar having to interfere. Dráusio Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Mangueira in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute Amauri Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amauri Mangueira in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráusio Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 45 played minutes Uberaba SC got a freekick which was hit by Marco Quadros.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles Maranhense made a kick off. Aílton de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Dráusio Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquaritinga AD. Uberaba SC's Dráusio Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton de Alcântara in the 62nd minute of play. Amauri Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aílton de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Dráusio Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matheus de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
