Armando Terra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bebeto Montenegro during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Cacador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Eliseu Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 33rd minute, Eliseu Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseu Veiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Antônio Carlos da Costa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Eliseu Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eliseu Veiga struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Muricizal AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cido Jacinto hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Muricizal AD's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Brasil came free, but Armando Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
