After 2 minutes, Maurício Souto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corisco SS and the Descalvados SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Descalvados SC booed when Corisco SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yan Palmeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anísio Cardozo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yan Palmeira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th match minute, Descalvados SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubinho Simões to maneuver through the defense. When Maurício Souto came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Corisco SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Souto couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the game, one of Descalvados SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Corisco SS a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nicolas Correia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Descalvados SC's Anísio Cardozo. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Descalvados SC's Egídio de Amorim got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Descalvados SC's Anísio Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Souto in the 28th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Descalvados SC got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Simões. The wind increased when Igor Rezende made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Descalvados SC were awarded a corner. Rafael Sampaio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Descalvados SC's Rafael Sampaio to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Severo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yan Palmeira got free with Anísio Cardozo in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Descalvados SC's zone, Maurício Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Cardozo came out of the goal and Maurício Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Carlos Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st match minute, Corisco SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Igor Rezende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Sampaio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Severo. Corisco SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Severo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Rezende went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Maurício Souto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Corisco SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Corisco SS were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
