The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Aluísio Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aluísio Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Arantes in the 11th minute of the match. Ramón Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Augusto Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Nuno Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tupiniquins EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arumim FC the free kick. In the 21st match minute, Tupiniquins EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Aluísio Dante successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Arumim FC defense, Nuno Arantes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aluísio Dante. The Arumim FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aluísio Dante should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Tupiniquins EC booed when Arumim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fábio Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Madureira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Angelo Ribeiro notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Arumim FC's Aluísio Dante. Aluísio Dante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aluísio Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute Nuno Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aluísio Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Aluísio Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonsinho Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Tupiniquins EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonsinho Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Arumim FC! Ricardo Madureira shot the penalty kick right outside the post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Arantes was the one to do the kick off. Nuno Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tupiniquins EC's Angelo Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel de Souza came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Augusto Netto could save by the left post. Ramón Bastos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Augusto Netto came out and tried to block the shot, but Ramón Bastos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 62nd minute. The attack was good, but when Nuno Arantes in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 69th minute, Angelo Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Augusto Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, Tupiniquins EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Souto to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Arumim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Ribeiro came free, but Aluísio Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arumim FC's Joel de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Daniel Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bebeto Campidelis's late challenge caught a Tupiniquins EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bebeto Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. Nuno Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aluísio Dante having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Arumim FC's zone, Angelo Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aluísio Dante came out of the goal and Angelo Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Tupiniquins EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
