Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Igor Hames started the match with the kick off. João Vítor Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Hames in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Maloca's Igor Hames sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Vítor Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sereno's goalkeeper João Vítor Maia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sereno's zone, Tadeu Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Vítor Maia came out of the goal and Tadeu Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 played minutes Sereno got a freekick which was hit by Manuel do Vale. A collision led to Sereno getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Marcelo Palmeira hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Maloca's Igor Hames nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Vítor Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Maloca's Ernani Viana got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th match minute, Maloca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Branco to maneuver through the defense. Sereno's João Vítor Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Hames in the 28th minute of play. Tadeu Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Maia having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Luiz Fernando Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sereno's João Vítor Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Hames in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Maloca's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Matorin came free, but Cristian Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wiliam Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dudu Matos fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sereno's protests and gave Dudu Matos a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sereno! After the first half Maloca were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Igor Hames got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Maloca's zone, Gino Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Palmeira came out of the goal and Gino Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Vítor Maia came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Maloca's Tadeu Moraes. But to his dismay, Tadeu Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. João Vítor Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Hames in the 66th minute of the match. Gino Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Palmeira having to interfere. Igor Hames blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Vítor Maia having to make a save. If Gino Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Maloca getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Válter Pires hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Sereno's Ernani Paiva tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Wiliam Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tadeu Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Maloca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeu Moraes couldn't finish the play. Wiliam Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maloca eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
