A collision led to Jacarecoara getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Haroldo Salgado hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Luzeiro EC's André Martins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If André Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléber Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Mello having to interfere. In the 25th minute Olívio Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If André Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléber Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Luzeiro EC's zone, Elói Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Alvarenga came out of the goal and Elói Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luzeiro EC's Kléber Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulinho Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Martins in the 39th minute of play. The audience was convinced that André Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulinho Mello was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. 45 minutes into the match, Luzeiro EC's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Bittencourt came free, but Wilson Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Correia in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Olívio Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Luzeiro EC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Amauri Sarmento hit a great ball. After 58 minutes, Adalberto Breckenfeld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luzeiro EC and the Jacarecoara players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jacarecoara booed when Luzeiro EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luzeiro EC's André Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 63 minutes, Kléber Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luzeiro EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléber Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elói Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Kléber Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulinho Mello was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 74th minute, André Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute André Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulinho Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amauri Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Paulinho Mello came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Luzeiro EC's André Martins. But to his dismay, André Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 93rd match minute, Luzeiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jacarecoara players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Luzeiro EC.
