Anselmo da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moncao's José Augusto Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo da Costa in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Augusto Maia was a little too slow when Anselmo da Costa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. The Moncao fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Moncao's Victor Mendes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Simão Hames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Moncao got a freekick which was hit by Elano Linhares. Simão Hames struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. José Augusto Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manguenza. José Augusto Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simão Hames in the 35th minute. José Augusto Maia came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Manguenza's Anselmo da Costa. But to his dismay, Anselmo da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo da Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. José Augusto Maia came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Manguenza's Anselmo da Costa. But to his dismay, Anselmo da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Anselmo da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manguenza's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Augusto Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simão Hames received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. José Augusto Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Hames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Maia having to interfere. Diego Rocha didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 3-2. The supporters of Manguenza booed when Moncao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Augusto Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Hames in the 92nd minute of the match. When Manguenza's Simão Hames in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moncao's goalie prevented a goal. Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Manguenza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Moncao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Manguenza were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Moncao for a fine match.
