Luís Fernando Abreu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cido Couto. Natinopolis AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Coassu EC's Aluísio Rosado got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Oséas Vergílio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Léo Saldanha went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute, Paulo Renato Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Renato Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Willian Santana charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willian Santana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Coassu EC got a freekick which was hit by Willian Santana. Cido Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Diniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Léo Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Oséas Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Waldir Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Natinopolis AD got a freekick which was hit by Hernani Cruz. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Léo Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Natinopolis AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Léo Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oséas Vergílio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Renato Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Cido Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coassu EC. In the 97th minute, Waldir Diniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Natinopolis AD had won after a very even match.
