Marcos Soares started the match with the kick off. If Toninho Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute of the match Cipriano Batista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Otávio Brito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Alan Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Jeremias Loureiro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Araguaia FC's Otávio Brito. Otávio Brito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Itariri's Alan Monteiro in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Araguaia FC's goalie prevented a goal. Itariri's Alan Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Araguaia FC booed when Itariri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademar Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Soares in the 28th minute of the match. Yan Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ademar Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araguaia FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Souza during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Alan Monteiro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 52nd playminute. 58 minutes into the game, Araguaia FC's Toninho Vander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ademar Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 65th minute, Alan Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itariri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Marcos Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Valle having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Araguaia FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Santana. In the 73rd minute, Alan Monteiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Otávio Brito. The goal made the score 2-5. After 80 played minutes Itariri got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Sá. Jeremias Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Otávio Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Araguaia FC's Otávio Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Loureiro in the 94th minute of play. The Itariri players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
