Araguaia FC's Marcos Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Natinopolis AD's Cido Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Soares in the 10th minute of play. Cido Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Vander in the 11th minute of play. Cido Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Soares in the 12th minute of the match. Moisés Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moisés Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Moisés Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Vander in the 19th minute of play forced Natinopolis AD's goalkeeper Cido Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Marcos Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araguaia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cido Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Soares in the 22nd minute of play. Hernani Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcos Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernani Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Otávio Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Araguaia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half Araguaia FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Hernani Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otávio Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Celsinho Ferreira hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Cido Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Soares in the 66th minute of the match. After 73 played minutes Natinopolis AD got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Britto. Marcos Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cido Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Marcos Soares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cido Couto, 0-2. 90 minutes into the match, Natinopolis AD's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Soares came free, but Cido Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Natinopolis AD booed when Araguaia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hernani Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Araguaia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Tasso came free, but Otávio Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Natinopolis AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Araguaia FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Araguaia FC.
