The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enéas Araújo during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Inambu AD getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Enéas Araújo hit a great ball. Bebeto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Azevedo in the 7th minute of play. Romário Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 27 minutes, Norberto Fantini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inambu AD and the Balanco SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guilherme Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute Romário Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Romário Quadros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bebeto Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Azevedo in the 37th minute of play forced Inambu AD's goalkeeper Bebeto Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Romário Quadros came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Balanco SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Quadros couldn't finish the play. Guilherme Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Bebeto Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balanco SS. Romário Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Arósio having to interfere.

Inambu AD's Ernesto de Medeiros pulled a muscle in his leg after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgílio Terra during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes Balanco SS got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Terra. If Clemente Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anísio Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Clemente Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Souto having to interfere. If Clemente Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guilherme Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Balanco SS's zone, Clemente Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Souto came out of the goal and Clemente Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Romário Quadros fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bebeto Arósio, passed just outside the right post. Guilherme Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Bebeto Arósio made a huge save. Clemente Bittencourt might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anísio Souto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clemente Bittencourt ran back to his position shaking his head. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Balanco SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
