Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Romário Quadros made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Guilherme Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balanco SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Guilherme Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Célio Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute Miguel Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guilherme Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romário Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Wiliam Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Romário Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Guilherme Azevedo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Navio's Wiliam Salgado. Wiliam Salgado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Balanco SS's Anísio Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Galvão in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Navio's Miguel Pinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anísio Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Balanco SS's zone, Célio Galvão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Souto came out of the goal and Célio Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Edgar Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Anísio Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Navio. Wiliam Salgado came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Balanco SS's Guto Arce. But to his dismay, Guto Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a little luck, Balanco SS's Anísio Souto got control of the ball when Miguel Pinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Navio's Célio Galvão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anísio Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anísio Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Célio Galvão's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Romário Quadros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiliam Salgado having to make a save. Emanuel Saldanha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 87 played minutes Navio got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Faria. Romário Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Guilherme Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Balanco SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Azevedo couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Balanco SS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Navio had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
