In the 15th minute Carlos Augusto Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Wágner Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolas Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes, Carlos Augusto Zanette made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Mage EC's Thomás Saldanha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Augusto Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cauarru EC's Carlos Augusto Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Carlos Augusto Zanette came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cauarru EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Augusto Zanette couldn't finish the play. If Murilo Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Cauarru EC got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Castro. After 87 minutes, Wágner Netto made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cauarru EC's Nicolas Oliveira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Murilo Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Saldanha having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Mage EC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Zanette came free, but Thomás Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cauarru EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
