The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Andrade during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 played minutes Marape got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Andrade. Erecatu FC's Evaristo de Castro suffered a sore thigh after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 4 minutes into the game, Tostão Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marape's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erecatu FC the free kick. Tostão Borges hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Erecatu FC's Yuri Almeida got a free kick in the 6th minute. If Luiz Eduardo Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodolfo Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Secco having to interfere. A collision led to Marape getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Marcelo Tepedino hit a great ball. Maurício Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armandinho Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Armandinho Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Erecatu FC's Jeremias Massa got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Luiz Eduardo Nunes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Secco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Erecatu FC's Ernesto Secco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Erecatu FC from getting a goal against them. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurício Galvão was the one to do the kick off. Erecatu FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Marape's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yuri Almeida took the corner. In the 54th minute, Afonso Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armandinho Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Mineiro in the 57th minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Gilberto Hames shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Secco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Armandinho Xavier stood somewhat misplaced when Maurício Galvão came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 66 minute. Luiz Eduardo Nunes hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Maurício Galvãos short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Armandinho Xavier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 81st minute, Maurício Galvão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armandinho Xavier was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Afonso Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurício Galvão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Armandinho Xavier when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ernesto Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Luiz Eduardo Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Secco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Erecatu FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
