Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdemar Secco started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Paranaense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gino Teixeira was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 10 minutes into the match, Cathe's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Secco came free, but Washington Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 minutes, Armandinho Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cathe and the Jaborandy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jaborandy FC booed when Cathe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamílton Barros struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Washington Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaborandy FC. Hamílton Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Washington Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Jaborandy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Pires came free, but Gino Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match Mário Prata shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gino Teixeira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Cathe's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Secco came free, but Washington Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Jaborandy FC booed when Cathe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Valdemar Secco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Cathe's Armandinho Pires got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 42 played minutes Jaborandy FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Paes. Eduardo Paranaense struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Gino Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cathe.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delfim Pinho was the one to do the kick off. Valdemar Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Mazza having to interfere. Hamílton Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Washington Mazza having to make a save. Hamílton Barros took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Washington Mazza. Washington Mazza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 72 minutes into the match, Valdemar Secco notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Cathe's Washington Mazza. Washington Mazza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Delfim Pinho struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gino Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cathe. After a defensive mix-up in Cathe's zone, Valdemar Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Washington Mazza came out of the goal and Valdemar Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delfim Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Teixeira having to interfere. Cathe's Sérgio Viana suffered a sore thigh after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Enrique Paes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. Hamílton Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Washington Mazza having to make a save. Cathe's Washington Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Barros in the 95th minute of play. Cathe's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
