Itoupava AD's Cesinha Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Santana in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Itoupava AD's Mathias Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Douglas Mello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Douglas Mello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Quadros's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Ernesto Borges blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Douglas Mello having to make a save. Douglas Mello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernesto Borges went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. André Luiz Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Mello having to interfere. Delfim Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Damião having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Borges in the 39th minute of play forced Tamarana's goalkeeper Douglas Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Luiz Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Mello having to interfere. Douglas Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Teixeira in the 43rd minute of play. Tamarana's Douglas Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Borges in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Itoupava AD getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Mathias Hermes hit a great ball. Douglas Mello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Borges in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Ezequiel Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Mello made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Ernesto Borges sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Prata hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match Túlio Aguiar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Douglas Mello skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot by Nuno Vieira from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Douglas Mello's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tamarana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Túlio Aguiar ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Itoupava AD's corner Kauan do Nascimento fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Douglas Mello quite easily take care of the ball. André Luiz Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Mello having to interfere.
