Aníbal Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Fontes in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match, Hélio de Sena tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Augusto Mendes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Otávio Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Nunes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Silva's zone, Iuri Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Mendes came out of the goal and Iuri Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Silva getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ulysses Oliveira hit a great ball. Silva's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Hélio de Sena scored to the left of an out of position Augusto Mendes, making the score, 1-0. Aníbal Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni de Queiroz in the 24th minute of play. A hard shot 27 in the game by Iuri Teles from a close distance when the talented Augusto Mendes managed to make a qualified save. Silva's players were relieved. Aníbal Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Capinzal's zone, Geovanni de Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aníbal Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Capinzal's Marcelinho Vergílio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Augusto Mendes but with some difficulty. 44 minutes into the game, Emanuel Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Silva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capinzal the free kick. After 44 played minutes Silva got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Bezerra. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
If Iuri Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iuri Teles's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Capinzal's Iuri Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aníbal Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni de Queiroz in the 60th minute of the match. Hélio de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otávio Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Aníbal Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Jacinto Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Capinzal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
